Canary Wharf Group
A cover design for a Canary Wharf Group publication — an uncoated paper stock finished with foil detail, chosen to give the document the material quality expected of a major London estate.

Challenge
Canary Wharf Group commissions printed materials that are read in rooms where the tactile quality of the document carries meaning. The cover needed to signal, immediately and without effort, the calibre of the estate and the audience the publication was written for.
Solution
The cover was designed around a restrained mark foiled onto an uncoated stock — a combination chosen so the document reads differently in the hand than on the page. Typographic hierarchy was kept quiet, with the material finish doing the work of announcing the publication. Paper weight and foil tone were specified together to ensure the finished object held together visually and physically.
Results
A cover with the material authority the Canary Wharf Group brand expects — a document that arrives in the room already carrying weight, before a word has been read.
